This piece all started from the weird tweaky hi-hat beat that it opens with — I thought it was kinda cool — so I just ran with it.
And then because that was the mood I was in i.e didn’t want to make anything serious, I proceeded to try a few different ideas that wouldn’t normally go together.
There’s some Acid trance, there’s some Trap drums in the interludes, there’s a D&B bass-line and because I’d been wanting to use them in something, a whole lot of Blues samples using the Vocals, Harmonica and Humbucker Guitar. Oh and to break it up some EDM / Rap vocals.
There’s nothing serious about this piece — it’s meant to be a bit of light dancey fluff — just a funky groove with a big Blues overtone and an Acid climax.
